The application features an extensive collection of approximately 100 icons representing different weather forecasts, alerts, watches, and warnings. It is crucial to note that WxAlert does not incorporate push notification alerts. Instead, the app periodically checks for weather service notifications while it is active. In auto mode, alerts are refreshed every 1 to 4 hours based on the severity of the weather forecast; for instance, thunderstorms trigger updates every hour while sunny conditions extend this interval to four hours. In manual mode, users have the flexibility to set alert updates within a range of 1 to 12 hours.
